“More than two dozen of the All Stars in our two previous games have been drafted by MLB or are now playing professionally.”, exclaimed Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League President, Jeff Kunion. “The All Star Game program gives our fans an opportunity to watch our top players go through their workouts for pro scouts. The game, the HR Derby and the scout day activities makes this a special event for all in attendance.”

“We really look forward to showcasing the renovations we have made at Colburn Park. It has been a couple of years in the making but, we have redone almost everything…the scoreboard, the concession stands, the seating, the press box. This year we redid the entire locker room. We are thankful the PGCBL Board of Directors awarded the game to us and we plan on a great show.” stated Pilots owner Bob Ohmann.
The 2013 PGCBL All Star Game will be played at Colburn Park, Newark, NY on July 24. The squads will be led by the Head Coaches from last year’s division winners. Keith Griffin (Amsterdam Mohawks) will skipper the East Division team. Mike Armstrong (Newark Pilots) will handle the responsibilities for the Western Division club.
The PGCBL is affiliated with Perfect Game USA, the largest independent scouting sericvice in the country. This year, more than than 1,250 professional players have either worn the uniform of a PGCBL team or participated in a Perfect Game USA event.
